Torpoint Lady Singers

Torpoint Lady Singers Ladies Choir in Cornwall
Concert with the Casterbridge Male Voice Choir, 12 October 2014
Torpoint Lady Singers

The Casterbridge MVC were in fine voice in St. James Church for numbers such as Softly As I Leave You. The choir had agreed to perform a concert in Torpoint at the end of a weekend of engagements in Cornwall.

Fewer in numbers than is usual, the ladies performed at their best in front of an appreciative audience.

The Casterbridge Choir brought their own soloist, and the audience was treated to the beautiful soprano voice of Anna Marie Geare singing Ave Maria, and I've Been In Love Like You from The King And I.

As usual, Sue Westwell was the Ladies' accompanist.

Joining Sue, Ken Trethewey playing the saxophone, assisted the accompaniment to the Lady Singer's piece, Can't Help Lovin' That Man.

Compere Adrian Wilton provided his own comic accompaniment to the evening.
